About me

I manage projects for a living  — IT projects.
I completed my PMP certification in 2009 and it was a big turning point for me. Upto that point, project management to me was just an art that was learned through experience. Studying for PMP opened up a whole new world for me. It taught me that there was more science to project management than I had known.
The vision for this blog is to demonstrate how project management is both art and science. Project management cannot be learned exclusively in a class-room. Nor can you expect to learn exclusively through experience….you need a bit of both.
Ever since I completed my PMP certification, I have had this desire to help others towards their goal of achieving this certification and becoming good project managers. I have taught study groups at my company, I have taught project management classes and I have spent hundreds of hours mentoring friends and colleagues on PMP study.
This blog will help me take that to a larger audience.
