BCCI to create its own league

BCCI is going to start its own league:

The Board of Control for Cricket in India, fearing a mass exodus of domestic players to the Indian Cricket League (ICL), has decided to start its own cricket league soon.

The key word here is “soon”. “Soon” , also, we will have a coach. “Soon”, also, we will see some improvements in our stadiums, better deal for Ranji players and so forth.

CNN-IBN has learnt that former India captain Sunil Gavaskar will be responsible for creating the format of the league.

For God’s sake, isn’t there anyone other than Ravi Shastri and Sunil Gavaskar to do this kind of stuff. What really have these gentlemen done for Indian Cricket in the last year or so ? They are part of the Committee for finding a coach for Team India. What are they doing ? Talking rubbish on TV ….

I think the BCCI has caught onto a new trick. Announce some grandiose plan, form a committee, appoint Sunil Gavaskar as chairman of that committee and use the word “soon”. Then, just sit back and hope that people will forget about that plan eventually.

Or, “soon” !
